Herpes Simplex


The answer to yesterday's Diagnostic Image Challenge was #2 Herpes Simplex virus infection.

Oral Herpes is also called Herpes Labailis or cold sores.  Herpes is a virus that can occur anywhere on the body but usually appears on mucous membranes.  Most people are exposed to the Herpes Virus 1 (hv1) by the time they are 10 years old.
